On the other side of the mug it says “Flash A Silver Smile” & on the coaster it says “The Tin Grin Is In”. The mug is 3¾” tall, the diameter is 3" & it holds approximately 8 oz. The mug is in very good condition. There are very little signs of utensil use on the inside of the mug but there are no chips or cracks. This item comes from a smoke free home. Summer is here and it's time to get your vintage tiki bar on! These wonderful mugs originally came from the legendary Aku Aku Bar in Las Vegas. Easter Island reference. Really nice detail from a OMC Japan. Very high quality and delicately detailed. Great shape. Nice clean interiors ready to receive tropical drinks. I love the faces. Very special. Nice colors. Shily dark brown contrasts beautifully with the light matte brown. Aku-Aku, the Secret of Easter Island is a 1958 book by Thor Heyerdahl that described his research at Rano Raraku and Anakena on the many giant stone statues or moai found on Easter Islandand the culture that created them. A whimsical touch for your vintage Tiki barware collection! one of the mugs has a few brown trear drop shaped paint droplets coming out of one of the eyes. You don't notice this imperfection too much, especially after a few drinks! OMC tag is still on bottom of each mug , which makes me thing they were never used! I only ship on fridays.
