Vintage Starbucks Coffee Mugs - City Series

I once knew a man who had collected every Starbucks mug ever made. Or so he claimed. He was a "completist" he said. Anyway, he had so many vintage Starbucks mugs that they filled two rooms in his house!

Starbucks has produced many different mugs over the years. Collectors classify them by the type of image on the mug and the year that they were produced. Most of the mugs are part of a series with one common theme.

Like my friend, there are many devoted Starbucks collectors searching for mugs to add to their collection. They scrounge rummage sales, garage sales, yard sales, classified ads, Craigslist, eBay, and who knows where else, hoping to find the most rarest, elusive mugs. And when they do find the mug they are looking for, some of them are willing to pay top dollar--hundreds of dollars! But this is not me. I have my favorite Minneapolis Starbucks mug and my favorite Mt Rushmore mug, and I pick up a new one every now and then, but I hardly ever pay more than face value.
